Payments for March wedding will be due this month. Also, I will be contacting my March brides soon to plan a photo timeline for the wedding day. This usually takes about 30 minutes to an hour and can be done by phone. In addition to showcasing new work, the blog covers photo tips, travel, home decorating and decor, cooking, baking, money-saving tips, how-to's, and more. These are fun sessions designed to showcase lots of personality! Proof Boxes The new proofs boxes for 2008 weddings are on their way! I'll send pictures in next month's newsletter. Anniversary Sessions A big thank you to Lauren & Eric for this idea. I shot their wedding in December of 2006 and they emailed me to do a one year anniversary session. The plan is to have a photo session every year to look back on years down the road. What a great idea! Session pricing is listed on the pricing page of my website. Offer expires February 28, 2008 5% sales tax applicable for Alabama residents ___________________________________ Bridal & Engagement Sessions It's still cold out, but it's time to start tinking about your bridal and/or engagemnt session. Sessions will start in March-April and are already booking fairly quickly, so call early in order to get a date that will work with your schedule. Sessions should be done at least six weeks in advance of the wedding and are done outdoors on location. Historic Columbiana: Morris Avenue in downtown B'ham was a great place to photograph, but a building there fell a couple of weeks ago and they don't know how it happened, so I'm not crazy about doing sessions there until they figure it out. A great alternative to Morris Avenus is the City of Columbiana, near where I live. The city did a rennovation a couple of years ago and some of the historic buildings on Main Street have gone through rennovations, as well. It really is a great place for engagement and non-traditional bridal sessions. When we're done shooting, you'll probably be hungry. Bernie's on Main and is a great place to eat. View Engagement & Bridal Sessions Here I usually like to start shooting around 4:00 or 5:00 in the afternoon, depending on the time of year we shoot. Sessions last about 1-2 hours. ___________________________________ Bridal Sessions Price: $195 Includes: private online proofing, a full set of 4x6 proofs, and an 11x14 print of your choice. Locations: I've just obtained permission to do sessions at Morgan Creek Vineyard in Harpersville! Aldridge Gardens in Hoover and The Botanical Gardens in B'ham are traditional favorites of some brides. I liketo photograph in locations that have some punch. Sloss furnaces and parking garages are pretty cool, but definitely not for every bride. I've done sessions everywhere - on a farm, in the city, in the country, private residences, and the gardens.
